The start of school officially marks the end of summer … so last month was spent soaking up as much sunshine and fresh air as possible! I tried to bring my camera along frequently, so I would be sure to capture the last days of summer. For this ’11 on 11′ post, I’ve compiled a few of my favorite shots … it’s sort of a hodge-podge collection. As I’ve participated in this blogging project, I’ve started to work on finding (and sticking to) a cohesive, harmonious style in each post – even though in most cases I’m combining images that were shot at different places, on different days. Finding that cohesiveness is tough… and it comes down to shooting style. What I’m saying is- stick with me! If some of the images jump out and don’t jive, just know – I’m working on this photography stuff and I’m trying to find my groove. 😉
I’m making progress though! I’ve figured out a bit more about what I like to shoot and what inspires me. I’ve also figured out that my best photography moments are those when I’m energized. And interestingly, on some occasions, when I’ve felt grumpy – pulling out my camera helped clear my mood. By focusing on finding the beauty around me, my frustrations fade.
