2014 arrived as quickly and suddenly as the recent polar vortex that blew through Minneapolis. Thankfully, the sub-zero temps are gone and 2014 is here to stay. With the arrival of the New Year, I’m continuing with my life-long goal: to never stop learning. I’m so excited about what’s in store! First, this month I’m going on a mission trip to Togo and Ghana… stay tuned! And second, as some of you know, my interest in photography has grown. Mobile photography, to be exact (although, I just purchased a real camera… eeek!!). I love trying to capture the beauty of our state. I’m drawn in by our four seasons and how the changes in weather completely transform the landscape from greens, to bright shades of yellow and orange, and then to a bright, crisp, white.
“Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything beautiful, for beauty is God’s handwriting.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
I’m am very honored and excited to be included in a project called “11 on 11,” with a group of talented photographers from around the country. They are:
- Corey Villicana (California)
- Marie Sant (Utah)
- Kelly Sweda (California)
- Brooke Schmoe (Florida)
- Sara Kaleho (Minnesota)
- Brandi Tejeda (Colorado)
Basically, we each post a blog of 11 pictures on the 11th day of each month, and we link to each other in our blogs.
Here they are; snaps of our December adventures, taken on my iPhone 5:
